Providence Whitehaven & Hill Inlet Day Sail & Snorkelling

Experience the ultimate adventure aboard a charming family-owned topsail schooner as we sail daily toWhitehaven Beach, renowned for its stunning beauty. Disembark at Tongue Bay to spot turtles and hike to the Hill Inlet lookout for breathtaking views of the turquoise waters and pristine sands

Return to the schooner to either hoist the sails or relax on deck, and delver into the art of traditional tall ship sailing. Visit one of our favourite snorkelling spots, where you can encounter vibrant Māori Wrasse and colourful reefs teeming with marine life.

Providence V is a 62’ Gloucester schooner, a replica of a Grand Banks fishing boat built from all North Queensland timber: quandong masts, red mahogany hull and penda frames and silver ash interior.

Please bring a water bottle. We have iced water on deck and you can help yourself when going to the beach. Otherwise plastic bottles are often left on the beach.

Please bring a hat and towels and sunscreen.

You MUST call to confirm the tour 24 hours before departure so we can check all of our your details and courtesy pickup requirements.

Our courtesy bus can pick up from a list of accommodation providers online. Plz make sure you are outside of your accommodation at the appointed time. The bus can be up to 10 mins late.

iI you choose to make your own way, please meet us at Coral Sea Marina North Meeting Point B at 7 am under the umbrellas at the roundaboutThere is a parking charge to park all day at Coral Sea Marina South. There is no longterm parking at Coral Sea Marina North.

We offer full refund if you cancel 72 hour before the sail  We can also offer you a different date to sail or to transfer to one of our other sails.

Full refund if we cancel the sail due to weather or minimum numbers.

Providence V is in survey for up to 24 pax. We are fully licensed. No BYOG please. 

We only cater for vegetarians under special diets. ie not gluten free or lactose intolerant. Plz check with us if you are unsure. Food has to be ordered (if you choose that option) by 5 pm the day before departure.

Child price: 1-12 years
Infants under 1 travel FOC. Please note, if the weather is windy and we deem it unsuitable for infants/children we will contact you the day before the sail or even the morning of the sail if there's a sudden change in the weather forecast.

We sail to Whitehaven every day and snorkel at one of the best snorkelling spots in the Whitsundays. 

We offer courtesy pickups. If you are making yor own way, please arrive at 7am for checkin at Coral Sea Marina North at the roundabout (under the umbrellas).  The boat DEPARTS SHARPLY at 7.30 am with the Captain taking guests down around 7.15 am.  We arrive back at 4.30 pm. 

Wetsuits are available for hire in the winter season from the Northern marina shop Aquadive. It is advisable to hire your wetsuit the day before travel as we cannot guarantee they will be open before we depart at 7.30 am.

Stinger suits are provided in season and snorkelling gear is also provided.We are fully licensed. Beer, wine and champagne, cocktails and spirits are available for sale. Espresso martinis are our classic cocktail.
